The youth of today have challenges when it comes to the support system, it can be either within the family or else in the community.  We do have young business minded people and also the government is willing to fund small business but some of them fall apart because of the lack of support. 

We all want to succeed as academics and we turn to look down on young people who are talented as bricklayers. Sometimes black communities complains about being in a disadvantaged environment which makes the youth of today to not freely expressed and excel in whatever they are doing. 

I think black parents need to stop putting pressure in the young generation and try to discover their talents, ability, passion and comfortability in what they are doing

If the society could not be so negative and classify careers in a way that when you have a skill in fitting water you are less than a graduate from varsity. Most of black parents don't believe that you can make a career by being a swimmer of which that is their belief. 

I think societies play a significant role in shaping careers nowadays and if they can change their mentality and try to look things in a positive way we wouldn't have this high rate of young people who are not employed. 

The problem faced by the youth of today is choosing a  best career for them selves, because we are driven by this phrase of just going to college or varsity and study anything. So being able to know how to find the best career for your self, one need to consider the following steps or factors:

- Assess yourself 

Each individual has different goals, talents, interests and values. In other words, there are certain careers each individual should not persue and others where they could excel and be satisfied. 

-Make a list of potential occupations

After conducting some self-assessment, it should be apparent the types of careers you should persue. It is not possible to persue each one, so the list should be used to determine where to begin. 

- Explore the options 

Learn about each potential career after narrowing your list, be sure to learnabout educational, new skills, training requirements and promotion opportunities. 

- Set goals

After narrowing your list, establish goals. You should be informed enough to establish short and long term goals. 

- Create a career action plan

Once you have established career goals, begin developing a career action plan consisting of goals and specific steps to reach them.

- Obtain training 

Obtaining required career training will probably consume the majority of your time and efforts as you persue a career.  Depending on the profession,  you may be required to earn a college diploma or internship or other types of  training. 

Today the government is investing more in community work programs which are established to provide an employment safety net to eligible members of target communities. 

Sport is also another way to help shape the society in a positive way.

Sports  nowadays is being used an escaping way from children doing bad things, not knowing that it also helps them to discover their talent and pave a way for them to pursue a career in that particular sport.

Societies can shape careers of people by providing them with the fundamental skills,facilities and equipment working along with the government. 

Winning the minds of the youth can be advantageous and also can eliminate the burden in the government's shoulder. The youth has a high rate of unemployment so this should be an alarming signal for us to shape and change our approach towards choosing a career.

The main objective is to improve the level of thinking and changing the mond mindset of the youth of today. 

After they are being trained to be business minded and to always nail the business opportunities available to them, they should consider having a well established and achievable business idea and to be able to draft a well presented business proposal.

The vital part is to be able to distinguish between a business idea and a business proposal. 

Business idea 

A business idea is a concept that can be used for financial gain that is usually centered on a product or service that can be offered for money. 

Business proposal 

A proposal is a document that you send or present to clients in B2B selling so they know what you do and also know what you are going to provide for them, specifically. 

Sometimes Non Government Organisations create opportunities like these where young talented and business driven people would present their business in order for them to be sponsored. 

So it better to understand and know what is expected from your business proposal. 

Business proposal should include the following :

-The opportunity 

-The solution 

-Project goals 

-Deliverables 

-Timeliness & budget 

-Invoicing 

Today i will be discussing the careers that are not common in the society we live in and younger people need to tackle these career paths.

Event planner

This is the field in which you can benefit a lot from sheer variety.  From wedding and business conferences to special concert or other live performances,  the opportunities to help plan one-of-a-kind events are truly plentiful.

Hippo therapist

 It is likely that this is one of the more interesting career paths that you never knew existed.

It is described as the practice of riding horses as a form of therapy for children and adults who experience disabilities.

Food scientist

This profession is more based on determining nutrient levels of food by analyzing its content,  they look for new nutritional food sources using the study of microbiology,  engineering and chemistry.

Cosmetologist

It is the study and application of beauty treatment,  branches of specialty include hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics,  manicures /pedicure etc.

The youth of today is more likely to ignore business opportunities and expect the government to create job opportunities.
 The main objective of the programmes designed by NGOs is to increse the levels of volunteerism in communities in order to eradicate poverty,  assist in the fight against HIV & AIDS and also to improve the careers of the youth.

Business seminars also plays a significant role in shaping the careers of the youth because it provides them with the fundamental principle of thinking and being a business minded person.

The best mind set that will help the youth of today is to not obtain tertiary qualifications and expect to be employed, but use the knowledge from the tertiary to create opportunities for them selves.

Planning a career takes many forms, it is not straightforward nor does it necessarily follow a linear progression. It entails many methods and resources including goal-setting, learning new knowledge, developing new skills, personal branding, positioning skill, education, and values. Networking, gaining work experience and mentoring are part of career planning.

The main point or idea is to be able to identify your talent.

Talent identification is relevant to employ-ability and i think the youth of today need to engage to this major point in discovering them selves. It is not easy to choose careers such as drama, graphic designing, fashion designing without discovering your best and what makes you happy.

 NON GOVERNMENT ORGANISATIONS are the ones who are now able to shape societies and equip the youth with knowledge and career guidance. They provide people with computer literacy skills and also design programs that requires talent and activities that the youth need to take part.

NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION are now playing a significant role in making change in communities  by focusing on individuals ability without the programmed system and they are breaking down the tendency of the youth who failed to reach tertiary institutions as failures.
